Uncle Jang Korean Restaurant in Selangor

"Saddens me to post this review without full stars because I absolute love Uncle Jang, but the difference between this branch and the other branch i had in Johor Sutera is way too different. Mahkota branch used to provide free water, now we have to pay mineral water Some other branches not only provided water, they also provide free soup, and the atmosphere is more homey. Experience was overall better at the other branch, hope mahkota branch doesnt fall behind and look for small improvements instead of cutting costs Service was still good though, friendly staff. Good food and best dakgalbi as always."

"deco in the restaurant are simple and serve the purpose well enough. it's still being run by the same korean couple and they are really friendly and nice people. although the rest of the staff are mainly foreign, they are also fast and friendly in their service. food are good and reasonably price and it does get crowded pretty fast. p/s u guys might wanna pass on the fried chicken with sweet potatoes. 15/01/2023 No more free sky juice and the rice quality is dropped to local grains and no longer served in traditional stainless steel bowl."

"We arrived earlier and it's already a small wait. The waiting crowd built up soon after. It's truly run by the Korean couple and they run the restaurant with a group of well trained foreign workers. The food smells and tastes good, for us who used to live in Korea for some years. The location is unassuming in Bandar Mahkota Cheras, but the menu options are truly Korean. We like the taste of the Dak Gal Bi, the sauce is thick enough. Do opt for spicy because normal is not spicy at all and especially if you're someone used to Malaysian spicy food. The downside here is that the water is not free, and if you do ask for water, they provide mineral water bottle. They also have Jinro soju and makgeolli (rice wine). We will return again to try other food on the menu. A recommended restaurant if you miss some Korean food."

"First time eat pork Dak-galbi normal (non spicy) add ramen and cheese. Just nice for 3 person. Good food, good service and nice environment, when you eating there you won't feel hot. The shop is located at second floor. Plenty of parking on weekdays."

"This is the best Dak Gal Bi I’ve tasted in Mahkota Cheras!! The combination of cabbages, toppoki, pork slices, house sauce and ramen together, it is so good!! Wrapped it lettuces, bliss! Croquettes is good and crispy. Pancake is also good. The best experience of all is the owners and staffs are very friendly and attentive, giving you all a homely feel."
